1. Post photos on your Facebook personal and/or business page several times a week.

  2. Send personal emails and/or newsletters to past students inviting them to take your class.

  3. GO LOCAL! There are lots of local (Chattanooga, Nashville, Atlanta,..) places to post about your class. Do a Google search. For instance “Chattanooga events add listing”

  4. Contact local art schools, paint stores, design businesses and other relevant businesses.

  5. Join and post in groups relevant to the type of class you are teaching. For instance if you are teaching a mural class then join and post in mural related groups. You can post a photo with a blurb such as “Come see me at ArtFusion Event” or “Introduction to painting trees class at ArtFusion Event” The trick is to be consistent and vary the photos otherwise people stop paying attention when they see the same photos being posted all the time.

  6. When you do post, limit how many photos you post at one time. Keep it to one or two.

  7. Try to avoid “sharing” posts from another location. These posts are not always visible to others.

  8. List your class on your website, Instagram and other social media.

  9. Give prizes or run a contest to get some attention for your class.

  10. Send out a press release. They are free!

  11. Join in the conversations on the ArtFusion Event page and group.

  12. Create a free event listing on Facebook and Eventbrite. www.eventbrite.com

  13. List your class in groups like Decorative Finishing Classes

  14. If you have a blog, use it. It works.

  15. Use the Invite button in the ArtFusion Event group to add people from your friend’s list who you think may be interested in the event.

  16. Contact companies whose products you are using in your class. Most are very willing to donate products, and promote your classes through their networks when you teach using their stuff. Last year when one of the instructors contacted an encaustic product supplier about her class, they sent her products, a prize for a giveaway and promoted her through their website and social media pages.

  17. Bring us a sponsor or vendor and you will get a 30% commission.

I want you to succeed! If you have very low enrollment it is not a big deal to quietly change your class to something else. You can also make a post asking your fans what they want to learn from you. You may be surprised what they have to say!
