Snapshot in Time: A Two World's Collide Workshop

Thursday 9am - 4pm September 28

Class price: $230

Skill level: Open to beginners

Class description: Two Worlds Collide is the stable amalgamation of mixed media art and encaustic art, lead by master mixed media instructor Christina Lovisa. Whether you are new to mixed media painting or a seasoned pro, you will leave this workshop with a fresh take on combining art and everyday ephemera to achieve profound connection to your art. Working quickly and intuitively, with few planned ideas, beautiful, powerful , memory-based paintings emerge. After a stable, dry based mixed media art-piece emerges, we will then transition it into that of a dreamy encaustic painting. You will complete a painting up to 16"x 20" in one day. You will be required to provide a wooden substrate to paint on (wooden cradle panel or birch panel or encaustic board). A printed image of a favourite photo may be incorporated; black and white, printed on regular printer paper not exceeding the size of your painting panel. Paint, ephemera and encaustic supplies all provided by your instructor.
